If you like Toffee Bars, such as Heath, Skor etc, you will LOVE Cracker Candy! I made my 1st batch tonight!
Not my recipe, but rather one I’d heard about and googled the recipe for.

Easy, cheap and OH SO GOOD!
(1) Sleeve Saltine Crackers
(1/2) Bag of Chocolate Chips
(1/2) Cup of Chopped Nuts *Optional*
1 Stick of REAL Butter
1 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
Line cookie sheet with tin foil. Lightly grease. Line sheet with crackers. In medium pot melt one stick of REAL butter and add one cup FIRMLY packed brown sugar and cook over medium heat 3-5 minutes until it comes to a nice thick bubbly like sauce.
Preheat oven to 400
Pour butter/brown sugar mixture over crackers and using a spatula, gently spread evenly. Put in oven for 5 minutes. Remove and let stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle some chocolate chips over the top and let stand another 5 minutes.
Once melted using spatula, gently spread the chips to even coating over crackers.
(Drop an F-Bomb here or there as you do this as the chocolate sticks to the spatula. Or be wise and butter the spatula lightly for the spreading.)
Top with chopped nuts if desired and place in fridge for chocolate to refirm.
Once firmed, use the edges of the tin foil to lift up the crackers and break into pieces. Keep in airtight container in refrigerator.
If you have sweet eaters, hide candy in prune container or Raisin Bran box because this gets GOBBLED UP!!!
