Please Welcome Author Georgia Lyn Hunter
Good morning Georgia, so glad you made some time to swing by.
Georgia: Hi Dana, it’s a pleasure to be here.
So, let’s start this right off. You have a book coming out. What’s it called?
Georgia: Absolute Surrender, a paranormal romance.
What’s it about?
Georgia: Let me give you the blurb.
Born in the flames of Heaven’s wrath, he’s all things sinful…and too dangerous to love.
An immortal guardian, Aethan’s walked alone for millennia, trapped in a hell of his own, until a feisty mortal crosses his path—a female he shouldn’t even look at, one who shakes the precarious foundations of all that he is—and one who’s determined to walk the edge of danger.
She only wants to be normal…
All her life, Echo Carter wanted “normal,” an impossible feat given that she can see demons. Now she’s determined to hunt down the demonii responsible for the death of her friend—and no man, no matter how sexy, will stop her—until she discovers a horrifying truth about herself, forcing her to turn to Aethan. But when two stubborn wills collide, a dangerous passion ignites…
As evil closes in, will this warrior overcome his darkest fears and claim her as his—or lose her to a far more sinister fate.
Where did the inspiration come from?
Georgia: A thought, an image of a warrior who’d live thousands of years alone and on a hunt he comes across a dying female, only to find out she’s his mate—of course that was the initial idea, but I needed more. Tons of research later on mythologies, and as the story took shape, it was the word Empyreal that caught my eye and my Empyrean race was born.
What is writing like for you?
Georgia: It’s like watching the waves crash on the beach, rough, noisy then it flows over the sands in a smooth glide and evens out all the rough edges…beautiful.
What makes a book, a perfect book for you? Steam? Edgy mystery? What drives you to OH MY GAWDDDD turn the page?
Georgia: a balance of both—it must leave you on the edges of your seat with no idea if the characters can make it out of peril / overcome obstacles.
Lots of authors say that they have a writing routine. What’s yours?
Georgia: When I have an idea for a new story, I let nothing get in the way of writing that draft. Meaning, when hubs and my son have left for the day, I get cracking. I revise whatever I’ve done the previous day and continue writing—I become a hermit.
What’s the one word you use that makes you blush when using? Any? Some authors have a word or giggle phrase that causes them to ponder using.
Georgia: ha—ha! Used too, when I write steamy scenes, you know what I mean. Now, I just shrug, I really do, I lift a shoulder, and write.
Steamiest moment in the book?
Georgia: *cough-cough* you’re gonna have to read about that, I’ve been told by a few they might need a shower.
Okay-Speed Round, old school style. Just for shits and giggles.
Georgia: my first boyfriend.
Georgia: re- above J I was 15.
Blooper date- (C’mon, we all had one)
Georgia: Seriously, I didn’t have one—didn’t date, came from a family that believed their daughter should be married at a certain age. You’d think dating would come after high school, but no. It came with suitors after college. J It was a fight for freedom then. So the boyfriend at 15, they didn’t know about.
Actually, I’ve worked this theme into my third PNR novel J
Georgia: Thor aka Chris Hemsworth J
True Blood or Vampire Diaries-
Georgia: TVD girl all the way.
Angels or Demons-
